Inception of the medical college with an initial intake of 100 MBBS students. The foundation stone laid by then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
Commencement of postgraduate programs in General Medicine and General Surgery. Hospital bed capacity increased to 300 beds.
Renamed as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Medical College to honor the freedom fighter. Introduction of super-specialty services in Cardiology and Nephrology.
