About Our Institution
Established in 1955, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital is one of the oldest and most respected medical institutions in Central India, located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
The institution is named after the legendary Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, reflecting our commitment to serving the nation through excellence in healthcare and medical education. Over the decades, we have evolved into a tertiary care referral center, providing comprehensive medical services to millions across Madhya Pradesh and neighboring states.
Our 650-bed hospital handles over 300,000 outpatient visits and 25,000 inpatient admissions annually. We are recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated with the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University. The college admits 150 MBBS students annually and offers numerous postgraduate and super-specialty courses.

Our Journey
1955
Inception of the medical college with an initial intake of 100 MBBS students. The foundation stone laid by then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
1962
Commencement of postgraduate programs in General Medicine and General Surgery. Hospital bed capacity increased to 300 beds.
1978
Renamed as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Medical College to honor the freedom fighter. Introduction of super-specialty services in Cardiology and Nephrology.
1995
Modern 10-story hospital building inaugurated, expanding capacity to 500 beds. Recognized as a regional cancer center by the Government of India.
2010
Accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). Launch of the Medical Simulation Center.
2023
Current bed capacity of 650 with state-of-the-art ICU, NICU, and PICU facilities. Over 1500 research publications in indexed journals.
